DESCRIPTION

Featuring a hybrid lens design, the Canon RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens employs a video-friendly Voice Coil Motor (VCM) rear focus system with a Nano USM (Ultrasonic Motor) that delivers precise, accurate and near-silent autofocus performance for both still and video use.

The Canon RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens belongs to the Canon L-Series lineup of lenses which ensures a durable weather-resistant designed protecting the lens's internal compartments from dust and moisture.

Optical Design

The Canon RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens features one ultra-low dispersion element along with two aspherical elements that produce exceptional image quality and minimise chromatic aberrations.
Minimising the effects of flare and ghosting, Canon has applied ASC (Air Sphere Coating), SSC (Super Spectra Coating), and Fluorine coatings to this lens.

On the side of the body of the Canon RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens you will find a custom function button that can easily be programmed to a preferred setting that saves time while shooting.
For improved image quality the lens is constructed with 14 elements in 11 groups including one UD element along with two aspherical elements.
