A near instantaneous and simultaneous readout of the entire 24.6MP is provided by the global shutter, this eliminates skew and other artefacts that plagued rolling shutters. Consistent and uniform exposure is provided in any lighting condition across the entire frame with the global shutter. Banding from some artificial light sources such as fluorescent lighting is prevented due to the continuous readout provided by the global shutter.

• Pre-Capture: Images can be recorded to the buffer when the shutter button is half-pressed. This can be set to 0.05-1.0, and then upon pressing the shutter images are recorded to the memory card.
• Speed Boost: Not every situation requires the maximum speed of the Sony Alpha a9 III Mirrorless Digital Camera Body, but this is easily accessible. Simply with Speed Boost and the C5 button, users can instantly switch from usual continuous shooting to the maximum ensuring the next shot is just right. You will be able to select your desired frame rate up to 120 fps.

The Sony Alpha a9 III Mirrorless Digital Camera introduces a new generation of the Alpha series camera, with some tweaks and modifications to the design, to make the operation more ergonomic. These include the addition of the C5 button to the front of the camera body. The continuous shooting mode dial can be disabled along with the ability to change the shooting speed in the menu.
